Denmead Day Care Nursery and Preschool has a designated baby room that has been specially designed to accommodate babies aged six months to two years.

The Baby Bee Hive has been structured to provide a space to promote learning and motor skill development through a range of sensory and soft play, and also includes a separate eating, changing and sleeping area for our babies.

Our brilliant Bee keyworkers are Naomi P (lead), Sam and Sarah. Lucy is also working in the baby room while she completes her Level 3 apprenticeship.

Babies are divided from the two year olds and pre-schoolers but still have regular interaction with them.

PLEASE NOTE: The Baby Room is closed from 4pm on Fridays (only). This is due to us having to pack away in the baby room for sports events over the weekend. Once your child moves up to the Toddler Room, we can accommodate sessions until 6pm on a Friday afternoon.

When the babies join Denmead Day Care they are assigned a key worker who will be there to support your child and will be available for parents to talk to.
Activities we enjoy outdoor and water play, trips out, messy play, arts and crafts, stories, mark making, play dough, dressing up, role play, cookery, singing and so much more.
We encourage parents to dress their children appropriately for messy play activities and to supply extra clothes.
